EXIT 89

VOTE TOMORROW!

Candidates for important Town positions are on the ballot. These hard-working residents will be putting in many hours to serve Orleans — as members of the Select Board, Orleans Elementary School Committee, Snow Library Board, Housing Authority and Nauset Regional School Committee, and as our Constable. Only one race is contested — three candidates are running for two seats on the Board of Health.

There are also 27 Ballot Questions. Many decisions made at Town Meeting last week and last fall need a second ballot vote in order to move forward or be fully funded.

Show up and participate in democracy!

Doors will be open for voting at the Council on Aging Senior Center, 150 Rock Harbor Road, from 9 AM to 7 PM.

Shortcuts to Get You More Engaged:

  • A sample ballot is here.
  • The Warrant of all articles that passed last week is here.
  • EXIT 89's recap of Town Meeting is here. (Correction to the recap: The Governor Prence Properties have been designated for housing, but not a specific type of housing as of yet.)
  • The Cape Cod Chronicle's helpful story on tomorrow's vote — describing the questions on the ballot, and the difference between "debt exclusion" and a "Proposition 2 1/2 override" — is here.

See you there!
